Presales is that first major phase of the Sales Maximization Process (often mistakenly referred to as the sales process) and included all the steps leading to a sale. This would include major stages like: prospecting, selling, and closing. The end result of the presales phase is to acquire a paying customer. Now a lot has to happen from identifying a target market, to establishing contact with that target market, to piquing interest, to demonstrating, negotiating, and overcoming objections to getting an agreement and finally exchanging.
