A sale is not complete until the customer takes full delivery of the product. This may happen when the customer takes the product immediately or when a scheduled delivery must take place. This product acquisition by the customer may include a formal set up or implementation of the product like technology and/or software type products.

Not all products, goods or service will require implementation; generally all products, however, will require some from of delivery. Meaning that the customer takes procession of the product; or that the product exchanges hands (ownership) from the company to the customer.
