Self-Awareness

Self-Awareness is having a clear perception of your personality, including strengths, weaknesses, thoughts, beliefs, motivation, and emotions. Self-Awareness allows you to understand other people; how they perceive you,; your attitude and your responses to them in the moment.

When we are self-aware, we are tuned in;  in contrast, when we lack self-awareness, we are tuned-out. Being self-aware means that:  I am are of my past ( where I came from) , my present ( where I am now), and my destination ( where I am going/ heading); I am aware of both my strengths and weaknesses; I am aware of who I am; what I believe, what I think and what/how I feel; I am aware of my potentials or the opportunities within me and without me; I am aware of my relationship with others; my environment and the interaction of the three.

It does not matter what others think about your goal, of whether your goal is realistic, of whether your dreams are achievable or not. What matters is what you think; that is, if you think your goal is achievable; if you think your goal is worthwhile, worth pursuing.  Because at the end of the day, what you think about you and your goal is superiorly more important than what others think or say.

The Power of Choice!

We can’t change the nature or circumstances of our birth; we have no control over how we start out in life.

We do have the power to determine who we become and where/how we finish; that determination is fueled by the power of choice.
